Ministries

Purpose:
To unite and elevate the spiritual experience of the body of Christ during service. To encourage and guide the congregation in worshiping God for His Glory.

Function:

• Attend monthly leadership meetings, and meet with worship team members during the month as needed.
• Serve as a primary worship leader for the church.
• Prepare appropriately for worship in advance through prayerful meditation on the message to be communicated during service and to dynamically adjust the worship as the Spirit leads.
• Determine the content and tone of the worship services that is reverent and inspiring.The Pastor has the final authority but the Worship Minister will have significant freedom to express creativity.
• Collaborate, when applicable, with the Pastor to enhance and support the messages through music selection and other elements of the worship experience.
• Disciple and train, when applicable, musically gifted persons, and include a wide variety of qualified musicians in the worship ministry of the church.
• Recruit, as needed, new vocalists and instrumentalists.
• Participate in the design and execution of weekly worship that, when appropriate, may include media and technical elements.
• Facilitate lighting, sound, and presentation software, and be able to assist in the coordination of these production components when needed.
• Lead worship team rehearsals weekly, when applicable, before worship service.

Purpose:

• To model and encourage men and women to have a passionate commitment to the life, love and service of Christ
• To mentor and develop men and women in deepening their holy relationship to Jesus Christ and to one another as members of one body, one church.
• To guide men and women in the ministry in a manner that equips them to realize and manifest the fullness of their gifts from God in an area of ministry within the church.
• To integrate biblical understanding of Scripture in single gender settings with the Word and the overall vision of the church as it is revealed by the Pastoral leadership.
• To create a culture of discipleship in men and women across the church as a whole and a service mindset toward others.

Function:

• Offer individual counseling and spiritual guidance to grow and nurture the women of the ministry.
• Organize Bible studies with women, always founded on the Truth of the Scripture, and instruct on the relevant application of Scripture to a woman’s unique strengths and challenges.
• Arrange prayer groups as the interest and need arise, with the Pastor’s approval. To lead the prayer group and teach spiritual sensitivity to the Holy Spirit and to one another.
• Organize activities, seminars and retreats to further develop the women’s ministry and expand the ministry’s reach, as they align with the Pastoral leadership’s vision for the church.
• Shepherd and lead the women of our body to become leaders who, in turn, will disciple other women to become leaders.
• Collaborate with the Pastoral Leadership of the church to develop a comprehensive strategic plan for the Women’s Ministry in unity with the vision and mission of the church.
• Communicate with the Men’s Ministry Leader to ensure adult ministry is unified in Biblical principle.
• Develop a strategy to connect and disciple to women in the surrounding communities and extend the reach of the church’s women ministry.
• Develop relationships with other Women’s Ministry Leaders in the area.
• Attend monthly leadership meetings and hold meetings within the Women’s Ministry staff as needed to provide updates to the leadership meetings.

Purpose:
To maintain the integrity of and ensure the smooth operation of the internal business workings of HSM as a non-profit Christian entity, including its relationship to external organizations. To foster effective communication between HSM leadership and its members with regard to events and activities of HSM.

Function:

• Provide operational leadership in the areas of administration, finance, and, IT.
• Assist in the day-to-day management, organization and financial activities of HSM.
• Complete all work associated with, but not limited to, the following:
  • Counting, recording, and tracking contribution pledging, and weekly donations.
  • Generate reports to Pastor.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of payroll, tax preparation and quarterly reports.
  • Assist in the area of monthly/yearly budget planning, administration, and adherence to budget along with other financial campaigns and/or projects.
• Maintain, organize and ensure safe storage of internal physical accounting records.
• Maintain and balance check books for HSM, and process returned checks and voided checks as needed.
• Maintain a strict level of confidentiality in the areas of, but not limited to: financial disbursements, internal giving records, compensation information and insurance for which access is granted.
• Support the various ministry areas, when appropriate, for the unified HSM Mandate.
• Analyze current systems / processes and bring forward suggestions for improvements.
• Attend monthly staff meetings and any other meetings and training seminars as requested.
